Twenty units (20) with at least ten (10) from one or more of the areas of the Hospitality or Tourism Training Package specified below:

- Housekeeping
- Gaming
- Commercial Cookery
- Commercial Catering
- Patisserie
- Asian Cookery
- Sales / Office Operations
- Wine Tourism
Remaining units may be selected from the Hospitality Industry Training Package or any relevant endorsed Training Package. Only one language unit may be counted as an elective within this qualification. In all cases selection of electives must be guided by the job outcome sought, local industry requirements and the characteristics of this qualification (as per the AQF descriptors).

MANAGEMENT
An Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management reflects the role of a senior manager in any hospitality functional area.
Examples of areas in the Hospitality and Tourism Training Packages of relevance to this qualification are as follows:
