Ten years of active re-evaluation and contribution from our long-standing teaching team members has resulted in the formulation of The Total English Language Learning (TELL) System.

Approach

This approach to General English curriculum design and delivery will help you improve your English language learning more quickly by focusing on each language skill individually, at your level. The Total English Language Learning system recognises that all English language learners learn in different ways, progress at different rates and desire different paths of learning.

Subjects

This new curriculum design is divided into four (4) skill components, each with it's own program aims, objectives and modules allowing: accuracy and fluency to be developed in all five skill areas: reading, speaking and listening, writing and grammar. Greater flexibility of student preference. A more focused language learning approach to student needs. A greater range of text and other resource materials, due to the allocations of an individual course book for each level of skill. At Russo English | Australia you will study in special General English classes according to your language ability level in 4 basic General English language subjects:

• Speaking and Listening
• Reading
• Writing
• Grammar

The Elective Range

From Pre-Intermediate level and above, you also have the opportunity to choose General English elective subjects such as:

• Speaking XTRA (Pre-Intermediate to Advanced)
  The ability to function in authentic situations where spoken communication is used.
  
  
• TOEFL Preparation (Pre-Intermediate / Intermediate)
  Improvement in all General English skills used in a wide range of situations. Focuses on all 5 macro skills. Prepares students for intensive exam preparation.
  
  
• TOEIC Preparation (Intermediate to Advanced)
  Successful testing results give students direct entry into many colleges and universities worldwide. Prepares students to take the TOEFL test. Focuses on skills development and test taking strategies. Russo English | Australia is a TOEIC testing centre with official examinations held every 6 weeks.
  
  
• Pre-Cambridge Examination Preparation (Intermediate to Advanced)
  Successful testing results can provide students with work placement in selected countries. Prepares students to take the TOEIC test. Focuses on workplace communication skills and test taking strategies. Russo English | Australia is a TOEIC testing centre with official examinations held every 6 weeks.
