Agency Aims for $1 Million Jobs - Berwick Leader

 

ACHIEVING $1 million worth of jobs in the Fountain Gate area in May is the aim of a new campaign launched by employment agency Sarina Russo Job Access.

 

"The campaign's aim is to engage the business community and encourage them to give a local a job," Sarina Russo Job Access local manager Susan Meyerink said.

 

She said the agency was looking to drive local jobs for the benefit of the community.

 

"If you're an employer needing staff, or if you know of an employer who needs staff, Sarina Russo Job Access has thousands of locals ready to work straight away," Ms Meyerink said.

 

"Employers are extraordinary and play such an important role in the fabric of our community.

"Sarina Russo Job Access will add the annual salaries of all successful candidates placed into work in March to calculate the success of our local jobs campaign," Ms Meyerink said.

 

"Over the coming weeks Sarina Russo Job Access will keep the community informed of the progress of our $1 million jobs goal as well as the benefit these jobs will have for our local community."

 

Ms Meyerink noted that in the past 12 months, redundancies in the Fountain Gate area had increased as businesses had had to shed jobs.

 

"Sarina Russo has many people on the books who have been made redundant," she said.

 

"They are experienced and skilled and want to get back to work as soon as possible.

 

"We want to link job seekers with businesses and relevant industries so they get back to work and help businesses grow, which benefits the whole community."
